As the end of the year approaches, it is also an exciting time for International Health Partners. God has a way of sending the right people at the right time and then making things happen in ways we never dreamed possible. As new people with new ideas step into our paths, we have accelerated our plans for expansion to better serve the children of Tanzania. Without revealing too many details prematurely, it is marvelous to see doors opening and trails unfolding that will allow us to move forward.
Despite the excitement over what we are doing and our own potential accomplishments, let us always remember the gift that was given to us by God Himself, our Lord and Saviour, The Christ. In remembering this, let us also give gifts; not for what we receive, but because God gave His most precious gift to us. All that we are able to do is through Him.
I wish blessings of the season to our entire IHP family for whatever festival you celebrate, and for a prosperous New Year.

Dr. Jesse Kitundu writing:
Dear Friends of Mothers and Children of Tanzania,
A year ago, we received a mother with twin babies from home after being discharged from the District Hospital where she delivered. Birth weights were below 2.5 kg. (less than 5 pounds) and severely wasted,
especially Nabri (both arms with malformations), the other twin baby, Nilam (right arm malformation) was moderately wasted. Nabri was nursing poorly due to severe oral fungal infection and had high-grade fever partly due to dehydration.
The Babies were diagnosed with prematurity, very low birth weight, malformation of upper limbs, malnutrition and severe bacterial infection.
Our concern was were the babies going to survive? My answer was YES! How and who will pay for the treatment? THE SPECIAL NEEDS FUND OF IHP!
Both parents came to us crying asking for help as they were not able to afford to pay for the treatment and for the infant formula. The farther asked if it was possible to be employed at the construction site to make a living. He got employed as a casual worker. IHP was going to make sure that this family would survive!
After a year's follow-up, the twins are growing well in terms of body weight > 10kg (More than 20 pounds) and developmentally, able to sit, stand with support, speaking some single meaningful words. What remains now is to continue helping them conquer their disabilities.
I thought it would be nice for me to show you that the help you are giving is changing and improving lives. This is just one of the many cases and lives you are affecting with your generosity.
What an achievement.
We thank you for your continuing support. Mbarikiwe sana. (Many blessings)

Around and around she goes and where she stops, nobody knows!! Not even “Major Bowes and His Amateur Hour” (of my youth) could have predicted that in December 2019 we would be completing our 17th time around, this ever-shrinking world of ours, where crossing oceans in sailing ships had taken months now only takes only hours in a jet passenger plane.
Our 10-week survey of Iambi Lutheran Hospital expanded to a five-year development plan, implementation and financing. This required our first year of our 17 years of rotation for fundraising. Since then, we restored part of Iambi Hospital, partnered with St. John’s University in Dodoma to start the Nursing School, and built the Nyakato Health Center, and then started The Children’s Hospital at Zinga. We have a long way to go at Zinga.
YOU have made each one of these projects possible. YOU have served thousands upon thousands of patients to have quality healthcare. We at IHP thank you all heartily for your prayerful and financial support.
YOURS are the gifts that have done the healing that Jesus gave with a breath. YOURS are donations that have given a location for God to do the healing. YOURS are the gifts that have paid the salaries of the workers to build the buildings and buy the equipment and to pay the salaries of the staff to do medical work, lab work, cleaning, gardening and all that it takes to serve the poor but beloved children of God.
God bless each of you this Christmas. You’ve sacrificed and given the gift of health and caring and love. Thank you.
To continue this miracle, please contribute to what is comfortable for you to:
