Urgent Plea for help

Help!

Since the earthquake in Haiti our donations have bottomed out.

IHP has been down to almost nothing in the bank before.  We’re there again.  The problem is we have 27 people on our payroll with salaries ranging from $75 a month to $300.  We were able to pay them today for March but there is nothing, nothing left to pay their social security and there is nothing left to buy building materials so we can keep them employed and continue to build Nyakato Health Center into the hospital it needs to become.

Here is some of what we’ll need this month in addition to salaries:

Water proof cement, 50 kg. $96.00,

30 bags of cement at $16.00 a bag,

1’ x 6” cypress lumber, 5 pieces $10.00 each,

Harder wood lumber, 12 pieces at $15.00 each,

Gypsum for wall covering 5 bags at $18.00 each,

Stainless steel sinks, $40.00 each, we need five of them,

Ceramic sinks, $45.00 each, we need five of them,

Primer paint, two 5 liter buckets at $50.00 each,

Final coat paint five 5 liter buckets at $100 each,

Cypress 1 x 8, 10 pieces at $10.00 each,

Cypress 2 x 6”, 10 pieces at $10.00 each,

1.5 mm cable wire, 2 rolls at $125.00 each,

and 2.5 mm cable wire, $250 per roll (need 2 rolls).

We’ve never done this in this way before, but we’re asking you to give what you can as a special gift to IHP and to Nyakato Health Center.  If you could send just $25 it would help.  If you could send more that would be even better.  Please click on the "Donate" button or send checks to:
